- Our History
A Future Full of Promise.
For more than 70 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Hamilton has been a trusted anchor for youth and families across our community.
What began in the 1950s as a single downtown Club offering a safe place for young boys has grown into a vibrant, multi-site organization serving hundreds of children and teens every day.
In 1989, we embraced a new name and an even greater vision becoming Boys & Girls Clubs of Hamilton and welcoming all young people to discover their full potential. This pivotal moment launched decades of growth, innovation, and deeper impact across our city.
From our historic roots to our school-based locations and mobile outreach efforts, we have never stopped evolving to meet the needs of our youth. Alongside dedicated partners like Hamilton City Schools, the City of Hamilton, and the Hamilton Community Foundation, we continue to remove barriers, open doors, and inspire hope.
Every Club member who walks through our doors is part of something bigger a legacy of resilience, opportunity, and unwavering belief in the power of kids.
